I was born in Paris, I grew up at Porte de Brancion where the Vaugirard slaughterhouse still existed before it became the Georges Brassens Parc. So I grew up with visions of last remains of the industrial, working-class, insolent Paris, the Paris of olden times which is not very well-known.

Since then I have always liked to discover the city off the beaten tracks, not the usual tourist areas or attractions. I was inspired by the photographs of Robert Doisneau and Willy Ronis, looking out for different corners away from the typical Haussmannian tonality, (ethnic quarters, passageways or country-style districts). When the internet first appeared in France, I had the great opportunity and pleasure to create a website called « Road75 » and «  Paris caché et inconnu ». Travelling to faraway countries is a constant motor in my life and something that I continue to do in Paris. I lived in Hanoï 20 years ago, and I am just back from Beijing after spending 3 years there.

My interest in Asia led me to become interested in the Chinatown of Paris, which in fact is the biggest in Europe !
