The Villa Meteor

One of the oldest breweries in France still in operation. Whether you are a fervent supporter of French craftsmanship, a beer lover or just curious and looking for an enriching visit: today we suggest that you go and discover one of the oldest national breweries.

A know-how handed down from generation to generation.

In the heart of the Alsatian countryside, the town of Hochfelden, situated in the Alsatian plain and north of Strasbourg, has been home to the Villa Meteor since the 17th century.

Created in 1640, it is one of the oldest brewing sites in France, the brewery having never ceased its activity.

Taken over by the Haag family in 1898, it has also been a great family history for more than 7 generations. Passionate, the members of this family wished to share their story and that of the creation of Villa Meteor.

An educational visit

Passionate, the members of this family wished to share their story and that of the creation of Villa Meteor.
If the visit of the brewery itself is not possible, large bay windows allow you to see the different brewing rooms and, through the factory museum, you can discover in a very playful way the different steps necessary to make beer.

Throughout the visit, explanatory panels and videos also allow you not to miss anything about the brewing process, which you will be able to taste at the end of the visit.

Villa Meteor offers you the opportunity to taste its different productions with natural and original recipes.

An entertaining and enriching experience not to be missed by beer lovers, but not only!

To prepare your visit.
