Same place, same team, but (much) more space: on April 1, 2022, the former Friche Lucien, which livened up Rouen's nightlife for 3 years, became "Le Quartier Libre". This 8,000m2 wasteland has been redeveloped on the site of the future Saint Sever train station, and is now a convivial space open all year round.
5 bars, 1 restaurant, 2 street food counters, 10 boutiques... Between new features and well-known addresses (such as the "Popote" restaurant or the "Las Hermosas" ready-to-wear boutique), the huge space located near Place Carnot on the Left Bank remains true to its initial objective, offering concerts, DJ sets, pop-up stores, tattoo artists, art exhibitions, introductory dance classes and screenings, markets, conferences...
For at least 10 years, the period during which organizer L'Atelier Lucien won the SNCF tender, the 8,000 m² site will be animated non-stop all year round, with one central requirement: to be as energy-efficient as possible. From the outset of this adventure, the whole team has been committed to being an eco-responsible venue, using cooperative green electricity, promoting artisanal and local beverages in the bars, and favoring short circuits to supply the restaurants.
Dedicated to creativity, culture, leisure and the good life together, this Quartier Libre has everything to attract epicureans of all kinds, whether they come to discover local producers and know-how, enjoy artists from the emerging and electronic scene (some 400 concerts are planned for the entire 2023 program) or just have a drink on the terrace with friends or family.
Fans of responsible shopping or Sunday brunches won't be left out either, especially as the new, enlarged space remains accessible free of charge, 7 days a week.
