Explore Paris launches six tours focusing on arts and culinary professions

Explore Paris, the go-to platform for unusual guided tours in Paris and its inner suburbs, offers six new themed walks focusing on gastronomy and crafts. Far from traditional tourist circuits, these urban experiences invite you to meet local artisans, savor quality products, and discover hidden gems.

At the heart of crafts and gastronomy in Greater Paris

Industrial history, artisanal know-how, culinary productions, urban creativity: these six unique tours, open to all, offer a unique blend of encounters, discoveries, and tastings. Led by passionate guides, they also promote sustainable mobility.

Fontenay-sous-Bois: a gourmet and creative stroll
Between urban graffiti and green spaces, the tour begins at the Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois church and continues to the Halle Roublot. Along the way, curious visitors can immerse themselves in the city's industrial history, stop to enjoy the cheeses of Fromages Divins (and other local delicacies) and chat with artists at La Fonderie, a former factory converted into a creative hub.

Asnières – Levallois: immersion in arts and flavors
Starting at the Château d'Asnières, strollers wander along the Seine and the Parc des 5 Continents.
At the Bizet workshop, which specializes in embroidery for haute couture, they can observe the precise movements of the artisans, while the artisanal cookies at Les Gouters de Karen offer a gourmet break in the heart of the Hauts-de-Seine.

Pré-Saint-Gervais: the bread, cheese, and wine trio
This walk highlights the gourmet expertise of the town closest to the center of Paris (only 3 miles). From Hoche to the town hall in Les Lilas, foodies can sample bread from FARINE, cheese from La Fromagerie du Pré, and wine from Le Jaja. They can also discover the art of dining at the Préau restaurant and, to finish, enjoy the rural setting of the garden city and its 1930s architecture.
La Chapelle: an unusual artisan trail
Visitors can look forward to engaging conversations with artisans and a feast for the senses at the La Lune des Moissons micro-bakery, the La Chapelle dairy, and the unique underground urban farm La Caverne. It's a wonderful opportunity to go behind the scenes of this surprising and lively neighborhood.

Aubervilliers: a taste for local produce
Historical anecdotes and tastings punctuate this tour highlighting the diversity of local and artisanal products with the Aux Saveurs du Moutier bakery, the Le Café d'Auber brasserie, the Marie cheese shop, and the Dame Jeanne wine shop. Meet these passionate merchants in the heart of what was once France's largest market garden plain.
Montreuil: unusual artisans and dynamic expertise
The last of these six new tours also reveals the energy and creativity of local artisans in the fourth most populous city in the Île-de-France region, with Laiterie L'Amicale, artisan roaster Capuch', and mobile bakery Les Ferments.

These 6 new “Skill Trails” dedicated to arts and crafts are perfectly in line with the DNA of Explore Paris, the platform that, since 2018 and with more than 500 partners involved, invites visitors to discover Greater Paris from a lively and inspiring perspective.
