This walking tour will take you to discover the famous Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil appellation. This appellation of red wines, sometimes rosé, is unique in the Loire Valley because it is produced only in its commune of the same name! However, it extends over three different types of soil, from the tuffeau hillside to the plains on the banks of the Loire, via the gravel plateau.
During the walk, we will talk about the vine, the grape varieties, the viticulture work, the wines of course and the terroirs and their influence on the wines. Because when you say three terroirs, you mean three very different types of wine! On the way, superb panoramas on the village and the vineyard, as well as some troglodyte curiosities... At the end of the walk, the wine tasting is held at the Bruneau-Dupuy Cellar, a family estate in organic viticulture.
