Vign’art

Participate in the influence of Champagne by proposing an attractive event. This is the objective of Vign'Art which, with the Champagne landscape as its artistic subject, promotes both the vineyard providing the most famous French bubble drink and many contemporary artists.

An event born in 2018

Vign'Art event blends champagne and contemporary art in the Champagne region by offering 14 artistic installations, exhibited as close as possible to the vine, in a circuit spread over the region and allowing to discover 12 communes.

While enhancing natural resources, the festival promotes different art forms and tends to become a recurring annual event. For its 1st edition in 2019, more than 120 national and international artistic applications were received! After selection by the jury (made up of the director of the Reims Mountain National Park, local authorities and art world specialists), 14 artists were able to benefit from great visibility with a curious public.

In the summer of 2019, the wine-growing landscape of Champagne Marnaise, south of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, has been embellished with creations that are more original than the others.

Focus on some of the works highlighted

Collective les 2 Des. Wood and acrylic paint make up this work of 30 columns spread over 10 m in length, the highest of which are over 3 m high. Conceived by 2 Parisian plastic artists, this assembly refers to the cups and flutes that, emerging from the ground, structure the landscape by their visual and colorful impact. Symbol of the Epernay region, the champagne glass refers to the festivities and conviviality but also to the work of the men and women of the region.

Alice and David Bertizzolo. This 23m long work by Vendean artists can be seen at night! Composed of 300 wooden stakes surmounted by mills painted with phosphorescent paint, it lets the colors alternate and appear in subtle shades depending on the wind. The spheres evoke the effervescent bubbles of the Champagne region and this assembly, which is alive with the sandstone of the seasons, takes on an undulating shape reminiscent of the hillsides of the region's vineyards.
