There are many camping destinations in France. Home to one of Provence's most splendid lakes - Lac de Sainte Croix - and Europe's largest canyon, the Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon is a treasure trove of natural heritage. If your vacation is all about beaches and sunbathing, you'll be delighted by the many crystal-clear swimming spots lining the lake.
On the other hand, if you're an outdoor sports enthusiast, you can enjoy kayaking, pedal-boating, rafting, canyoning, hiking... as well as many other activities in a magnificent setting around the lake. And don't miss the famous perched villages in the surrounding area, such as Moustier-Sainte-Marie (recognized as one of the most charming villages in France), Valensole and its famous lavender fields, or Riez.
For a truly memorable experience in the heart of Provence, you can also savour the local gastronomy, bearing in mind that the ideal periods for camping are spring and autumn, when temperatures are milder and tourist numbers lower.

In this remarkable setting, you can combine beaches and water activities with cycling or hiking on over 8,000 km of marked trails.
Annecy is also the ideal starting point for climbing the peaks of Mont Veyrier, Parmelan and La Tournette. A great way to switch off and refocus on what really matters!
Finally, if you'd like to add a little culture to your stay, simply explore the town of Annecy, nicknamed the “Venice of the Alps”, and stroll through its narrow streets, numerous canals and little bridges to let yourself be captivated!
Corsica

You're truly in Corsica, that little corner of paradise in the heart of the Mediterranean. Here, you'll have the opportunity to camp between land and sea, from Cap Corse to the heights of Bonifacio, passing through charming typical villages, to take full advantage of the natural riches of this island with its strong character. Tip: don't forget to sample the local culinary delights (brocciu, coppa, figatellu...) which, handed down through the ages, will enrich your experience of the island of beauty.
Alsace
Camping vacations in France often conjure up images of being on the beach. But that's not always the case.
France is full of enchanting regions, towns and hamlets, even away from the coast. Alsace is a perfect example. Bordering Germany and Switzerland, this region stretches between the Rhine and the Vosges mountains. Renowned for its wines, this region of northeastern France has a landscape that reflects this reputation. The best way to get a feel for the region is to follow the Alsace Wine Route. For 170 kilometers, you'll discover picturesque villages adorned with half-timbered houses and flower-filled lanes, all surrounded by vineyards. Each is more charming than the next.
And the best part? Numerous wineries will welcome you for tours where you can, of course, savor the region's great vintages, from Riesling to Pinot Noir to Gewurztraminer.
And where there's fine wine, there's fine food too. And that's a fact! The same applies to Alsace. Tarte flambée, sauerkraut and baeckeoffe (a traditional meat and vegetable dish): all delicious specialties prepared by friendly hosts.
Discover France's heritage and gastronomy, reconnect with nature and enjoy a change of scenery without having to go far: there's no shortage of regions in France where you can enjoy a camping vacation!
