The No Diet Club food tours

Enjoying food in a context that encourages encounters: this is the philosophy of No Diet Club and its culinary specialties tasting tours. In several cities, sweet and savoury lovers can discover - on foot and for about 3 hours - several thematic addresses during food tours gathering people from all over the world around a local guide. Good food and good humor guaranteed!

An initiative born in London

Claudia and Antho, the 2 French founders of No Diet Club had the idea of these food tours when they moved to London in 2017. Having left to change their lives without any specific professional project in mind, Claudia had the idea to create a "street food" tour on London markets (Camden, Borough Market, South Bank...).

This first food tour was immediately popular and quickly gained a lot of visibility by being integrated into the "Airbnb Experiences" service. Only a few months after its creation, the tour is even among the most booked activities on the famous website.

Strengthened by this success and motivated by the pleasure of doing something they like, the 2 entrepreneurs decided to return to France to develop their concept. In early 2018, they started the second part of this beautiful adventure, first in Paris where the success was immediate and then gradually in Nice, Marseille, Bordeaux and Lyon. The success in London also encouraged them to launch No Diet Club in Amsterdam and Brussels, and today there are no less than 30 guides who provide, locally, their various food tours every week.

Notice to food lovers

Burger, pizza, kebab or sweet treats: there is something for everyone and each food tour includes - as much as possible - regional must-tries (pan bagnat in Nice, canelés in Bordeaux...) to please foreign tourists but also... the locals!

Indeed, the residents represent half of the registered tourists, whereas before the health crisis, this original way of discovering the best local addresses for a given culinary specialty was 90% popular with foreigners.

Today, as illustrated by the launch of a brand new raclette food tour, the offer is constantly expanding: it adapts to the seasons, it's now available in Lille and Toulouse and now includes vegan options.

Fat recipes

Cut off in their momentum by the pandemic, our 2 culinary adventurers do not give up when restaurants close and tourists can no longer travel, they invest in social networks to keep in touch with their customers and, unable to recommend their favorite addresses, propose recipes to make during the containment(s). Claudia's cooking talents are acclaimed by their Instagram community (more than 100,000 followers!) and, as the ultimate consecration, her recipes are gathered in a book published by Marabout.

This one is in fact the best-of of 2 first publications entirely managed by No Diet Food: while they knew nothing about publishing, Antho and Claudia launched this new project with their offbeat tone (we owe them the aptly named title “Fat recipes”), the help of a graphic designer and a lot of involvement (they are the ones who, individually, distribute the 1st books).

The success is there and attracts the attention of the Marabout editions which proposes to them to release this compilation marking certainly the beginning of a true saga, the new unpublished recipes of Claudia asking only to be promoted.

Speaking of promotion, the good-natured spirit of No Diet Club also comes in the form of derivative products (mugs, T-shirts, stickers) and even... team building activities! What better way to unite colleagues than to share warm and tasty meals without getting into trouble?
