I invite you to come and discover the ruins of the Abbaye Saint-Bertin through photos and paintings of the period but also via the legend of the monks. You will discover the reasons for these ruins and the role of the abbey at the time. We will go to the museum of the hotel Sandelin to see its treasures (jewellery, paintings, reconstituted rooms). We will visit rue Carnot which reveals its mysteries through the ancient facades of its houses, and where you will find clues about what the houses were before.
We will then visit the library and its heritage room that will amaze you with its ancient works and wooden architecture. I will also tell you about the Lycée Ribot and La Motte Castrale (according to opening hours) which remains one of the few testimonies of architecture from the Middle Ages. We can go to the cathedral to see its maze floor and ancient paintings.
Finally, we will go to the garden of the tourist office where you can relax with a cup of tea and some local pastries.
See you soon!
